From Heritage to Heartbeat: A Story Woven Through Time

Jaipur is a city that lives and breathes colour. Its sun-washed palaces, pink walls, and winding lanes all seem to carry an echo of something older, deeper. But for me — Jaipur was more than just home. It was where my love story with hand block printing began.

Long before Kapaas came to life, block prints were already part of my world. From childhood dresses to the soft furnishings in her family home, they surrounded her like second skin. My Mum filled our home with hand-printed curtains, quilts, and sarees—each piece steeped in tradition, carrying the scent of fresh dye and sun-dried cotton.

I remember those trips to Jaipur laneways and bazaars earlier with my Mum and then with my bestie on my two-wheeler, roaming in search of the finest cotton fabrics with the most beautiful hand printed motifs.

Years later, those memories are still as fresh as the scent of a new clothing 😊 And as I moved through life—from school days in Jaipur to university years wrapped in cotton prints—it became clear that this wasn’t just nostalgia. It was identity. It was inspiration.

Kapaas was born out of that deep-rooted love—a way to preserve the craft I grew up with and to share it with a world seeking authenticity and soul.

My vision for Kapaas has always been rooted in connection:

  • To my hometown, Jaipur.
  • To the artisans whose hands hold centuries of knowledge.
  • And to conscious women around the world who want more from their clothing—more meaning, more intention, more soul.

Whether it’s a breezy cotton kaftan, a flowing wrap dress, or a home textile made the my Mum once did—every Kapaas piece is a thread back to that courtyard in Jaipur, where colour, heritage, and quiet artistry still live.

A Personal Legacy, Woven into Every Piece

For Me, Kapaas isn’t just a business—it’s a way to honour my roots.
Every collection begins with a memory.
Every pattern holds a piece of home.

From the printed cushions in my childhood living room to the cotton dupattas worn through college, hand block prints have always meant more than just design. They mean belonging. They mean continuity. And now, they mean Kapaas.
